Travertino | OPP22

Travertino is an Italian durable and compact natural stone.

Specifically, travertine is a chemical sedimentary rock consisting mainly of calcium carbonate minerals.
It can vary in colour from beige to ochre and may have gray veins.

Table tops are grouted to make the surface more uniform. Kindly note that travertine is extremely natural and variable.

This marble is very porous and it is made of different components which absorb the polishing in different ways.The result is a polished effect that is not homogeneous.

We suggest to order the polyester treatment to avoid this effect.
In fact, on demand, marble tops can be coated with polyester treatment, which consists in a painting process similar to the process that wooden furniture is submitted to, covering
any possible micro hole, sealing, filling, thus making the marble uniform and smooth, also in the painting.
