With use, the pile of chenille may show a crushed effect, giving this fabric its “lived in” look which must not be considered a flaw but an intrinsic and unique characteristic. When used for upholstery the pile tends to crush and alter the way in which it reflects the light, creating a shading or sheen deriving from use. in order to refresh it and reinvigorate the pile it is advisable to brush and steam the fabric at a distance of 30 cm. Please note that the steam should not come into direct contact with the material. Brushing should be done both in vertical and horizontal way. We recommend repeating the process till the velvet resumes the original appearance. Whenever using Belsuede for upholstery applications, it is advisable to adopt stuffing or an inner lining that creates friction with the fabric.
