Designed by the Danish artist and graphic designer Finn Sködt in 1984, Divina is one of Kvadrat’s most iconic upholstery fabrics. Made from 100 per cent virgin wool, it is renowned for its smooth, felt-like surface and its vibrant colour palette. The new edition of Divina brings together the most distinctive qualities of Divina, Divina MD and Divina Melange. Intense chromatic purity, richly nuanced depth and the soft complexity of the melange blend into a refined and contemporary palette of 64 colours, including 17 new shades.

The fabric is first woven and then finished – a process often associated with high-quality tailoring – which transforms the material from rough to soft, giving it a uniform surface. Depending on the colour combination, the fabric is dyed in the piece or in the yarn.
